2021-Present

Goal: To revitalize the brand identity of The Steps Academy, modernizing its visual appeal while honoring its legacy and showcasing the talent of its young dancers.

My Role: As the lead designer for The Steps Academy rebrand, I was responsible for:

Brand Refresh: Updating the existing 20-year-old logo with subtle tweaks to give it a contemporary feel.

Visual Identity: Defining a new color palette, typography, and photographic aesthetic that reflects the energy and talent of the academy's students.

Historical Integration: Incorporating archival photos from the 1980s to connect the academy's rich history with its vibrant present.

Website Design (UX/UI): Designing the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for the new The Steps Academy website, creating a user-friendly and visually engaging online experience. (Note: A separate website developer handled the implementation and coding of the website.)

Comprehensive Rebranding:
Applying the new visual identity across all touchpoints, including: Apparel design, Marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, posters), Social media graphics, Signage and environmental graphics

Results: The rebrand successfully modernized The Steps Academy's image, creating a fresh and engaging visual identity that resonates with young dancers and their families. The updated branding effectively communicates the academy's commitment to excellence while honoring its legacy.
